PEDESTRIANISATION TRIAL: SHERINGHAM TOWN CENTRE
In the survey last year, a large majority said that they wanted to see a pedestrianisation trial in Sheringham Town Centre, and most wanted a trial operating between 10am-4pm, from the High Street down to the Prom.
The pedestrianisation working party is proposing a pedestrianisation trial on the weekends of:
7/8th April 2018;
11/12th August 2018, and for the next two consecutive weekends;
From 10am to 4pm, from just north of the Clock Tower to the Prom
Some have asked questions about how the trial will work or how it will affect people living and working in the ‘pedestrianised zone’.
Some FAQs/Answers are below which we hope will answer those questions.
If anyone has further concerns or questions, then please contact me on: email@example.com; or on: 07710 236099
Blue Badge Holders
1. Q I am a blue badge holder. Will I be able to take my car into the pedestrianised zone?
A Yes, you will be able to take your car into the pedestrianised zone at all times.
2. Q I am a blue badge holder. Will I be able to park in the pedestrianised zone?
A Yes, you will be able to stop, just as you do now, in the parking bays. You will also be able to park in the Shannocks car park. Since only blue badge holders (and a very few other cars) will be allowed into the pedestrianised zone with their cars, there will be more space than usual in the Shannocks car park.

3. Q I live in the proposed Pedestrianised Zone. Will I be able to get to and from my home during the
A Yes. You will be able to get to and from your home at all times, as now.
4. Q I live in the proposed Pedestrianised Zone. Will I be able to take a taxi to my front door during the trial if I need to?
A: Yes, you can be dropped off by taxi at all times during the trial. But we would ask, if you can walk from the Clock Tower, that you walk that last bit as we are trying to make this as pedestrianisation friendly
