Winner of three awards in 2008.
Norfolk Association of Architects Craftsmanship Award, Campaign to Protect Rural England Conservation Award, and North Norfolk District Council Graham Allen Award for Conservation.
This 140 year old, brick and flint former lifeboat house has now been sympathetically rebuilt at a cost of over £250,000 and is leased and managed by the Sheringham Plus Community Partnership.
The name, Oddfellows Hall reflects a long and continuing relationship between the town of Sheringham and the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows, a charitable institution, that has provided financial support to the Sheringham RNLI Lifeboat Station for over a Century.
Designed by Norfolk architects Chaplin Farrant the new Oddfellows Hall, opened in September 2007 and features an impressive Oak framed glass and steel entrance in the shape of the prow of a lifeboat.
The hall is available for hire to any person, organisation or company and offers the following features:
