Originally a small North Norfolk fishing village the arrival of the railways in 1887 turned Sheringham into a popular destination for visitors from far and wide.

Over the years it has expanded into a thriving town with many diverse shops, places to eat, and places to visit.

Famously it has been awarded ten consecutive European Blue Flags for the cleanliness of its beaches and achieving Silver Gilt in Britain in Bloom 2006, and Silver in Anglia In Bloom 2006, the Best Coastal Resort Silver Gilt Award 2007 Anglia in Bloom,and Silver Gilt Anglia in Bloom 2008 & 2009
